But there isn't a town in this country where professional and college sports matter as much as they do in Detroit. Head east, and they've barely heard of college football, much less support it. Head west and they've never heard of hockey and don't have nearly the passion for collegiate sports. The teams matter out west, but they just don't matter as much as they do in the Midwest or the East. |
